Another good Saturday morning.

The hall was set up on the Friday night by a smaller group than usual, John, Dave, & Dave couldn’t make it, not a problem, all done in much the same time as Andy and Keith helped, they now seem to be regular helpers which is very much appreciated, a couple more helpers through the meeting would be useful and these will come in time I’m sure.

Today saw young Rob back; he’s missed 3 or 4 meetings but is now back and as enthusiastic as before. We send a get well soon to Ken who usually helps out, sadly not able to help us today, Mike stood in on his lathe so all the lathes were busy. The last bits of the presentation on the computer for the open weekend were put together plus some pictures.

Thomas turned a small ash bowl with Kim and Alex asked if we could make paper aeroplanes, yes is always the reply to request’s, so some turned a tall stand for the plane to sit in on to display it, there was plenty of room for decoration.

The usual mid morning break was a welcome relief to the helpers before the demand to turn got us back to turning. Last month Ken had started copying a small lidded box with Emily and Kayleigh, Ken prepped them at home for this month and Mike and Eric finished them, both girls very pleased with their efforts.

Sadly no pictures on my camera and being very busy I didn’t get to note what the others did, I think James turned a snake with Don and Dave was busy with Bill Barbara and Grant, Angy as always very ingenious with the craft work, she always has a crowd of busy juniors there, plus the pyrography table.

As always the time goes very quickly and the parents start arriving to whisk the juniors away, a varying number of them stay to help clear away and once again we didn’t get to turn the three lighthouse type light pulls Jordan has asked about, next month and that’s a promise. So there it is, gone in a flash, and there goes another brilliant junior club meeting.
