Clocks are made from a plank of wood.  Most woods are suitable.  The conventional clock is round, but any shape is possible.  A hole is drilled at the back for the clock mechanism and a small hole in the front for the mechanism to drive the hands.  Numbers are drawn using pyrography or inserted in a circle to tell the time.
